Golconda Fort is a magnificent hilltop citadel famous for its ingenious acoustics — a clap at the entrance carries all the way to the summit pavilion. Once the seat of the Qutb Shahi kings and the centre of the legendary diamond trade, it now hosts a popular evening sound-and-light show.
Tip: wear comfortable shoes — it is a fair climb of around 380 steps to the top pavilion, and the views are worth it.
