Bannerghatta National Park combines a zoo, a butterfly park and a hugely popular safari where lions, tigers and bears roam near-natural enclosures. Just south of the city, it is one of Bangalore’s favourite family day trips and a fine introduction to South Indian wildlife.
Tip: take the grand safari early in the day — animals are far more active in the cooler morning hours.
