A restored lake at the foot of Chamundi Hills with a walking path around the water, a butterfly park and India’s largest walk-through aviary. Pelicans, painted storks and cormorants nest on the islands, making it a genuine birding spot in the middle of the city.
Tip: Bring binoculars — the nesting islands are the reason to come, not the boating.
